10-Week Summer Pottery Class - Wednesday

Service Description

Spend 10 glorious weeks developing a pottery practice alongside just 3 other students, guided by Nancy Frost. These longer-term classes allow you the opportunity to explore a range of techniques with the support of a skilled teacher. You could spend time developing your throwing skills, have a go at hand building and or play around with a whole range of decorative techniques – the possibilities really are endless! Located in a beautiful walled kitchen garden with fabulous views there is plenty of inspiration for your makes, just outside the studio. We keep our class sizes small - a maximum of four students – so that everyone has optimum teacher time, a dedicated wheel space and the sense of being part of a supportive potting community. Nancy will guide you to create a range of pieces and help you to discover your pottery style - come to class with a plan for your makes or just see where the clay takes you. The ten-week includes all the tools and materials you may need - including your first 1/2 bag of clay - and access to our library of underglazes, slips, oxides, and glazes. We also provide the all-important tea, coffee and biscuits each session to fuel your making! There is a small additional charge for firing your pieces, this is calculated based on their weight. Additional ½ bags of new clay can be purchased at cost or reclaim clay is available at a discount.
